What I learnt from Sister of popular

Image
When Lexi got drunk at her 15th birthday party, I learnt that I should always listen to my mother when she says alcohol is not for people of my because like Lexi, I do not want to go around kissing people while am intoxicated or even strip myself naked.  I also learnt that I should love my self the way I am and never change who I am for people. I learnt to appreciate the little things I have and to love my brothers more. I also learn not to say bad things to people because my words can affect them in a negative way, but I should be kind and respectful.

Who I recommend this book to

I strongly recommend this book to teenagers because it outlines some of the important issues we face. Most teenagers have the uncertainty, the fear, insecurities and excitement of being teens. The Sister of Popular uncovers experiences of those factors and has so many lessons. The book teaches us to be ourselves no matter and to speak up when you are bullied before things go out of hand. It teaches everyone to love and care for their siblings instead of bullying them. I would also recommend this book to people who are mentally ii so they can feel less alone and know that it's not their fault they are not okay. Sister of popular also encourage therapy and consulting trusted people when you are bullied or not mentally or emotionally stable.

How do teenagers relate with the story

Bullying and depression are common issues among people our age. Teenagers often try to fit in and do many wrong things in the process of fitting in. This is what happened to Lexi when she changed herself several times so she could be popular like her brother. The more she kept on trying to blend in with the populars, she unexpectedly pushed her friends away. This led to her feeling lonely and depressed.
