My favourite part of the book
The best part of the book was when Lexi started to feel overwhelmed because of her brother bullying her and she decided to hang herself at a special tree. A tree where she and Levi loved in the woods across their town. It was a few day before Christmas.
Before she left to the woods, Lexi wrote a big suicide note her mom, cousin, twin brother and her other friends. She bid them good bye. She took everything she needed for her death but she could not help but imagine how it felt to be dead. She felt as if she was doing Earth a favour by killing herself.
Just as she was about to hang herself, her twin brother Levi came and tried to save her. A part of her had a little hope that her Levi is back but as soon as he started shouting to her of how useful this suicide could be she got angry. He kept on complaining about how annoying she is but he is willing to tolerate it because he does not want to be blamed for a death. Levi's words turned Lexi on and she took a sharp pair of scissors she had in her hands and threw it on Levi's face tight next to his eye.
As Levi was screaming due to pain, Lexi felt so guilty because she thought she hit him right in the eye. She got devastated. Guilt washed over her so she decided to hang herself but she did not successed because she fell down on the ground. Both the twins landed up in hospital. Levi felt no pain when she was hospitalized for attempted suicide.
